Location recce
The location that I have chosen for filming my video is the inside of the local scout hut, which I have decided to use for the entire video. This site will purposely be left sparse for the earlier sections of the song, before becoming more colourful and highly decorated over time.
These photos show the buildings main hall, where most of the video will take place. This location will be used for the beginning of the video, and eventually returned to in the later scenes, this is also the location which will feature the most extreme change as the video goes on. The use of a large area in this section will allow for more wider and grander shots than in any other section of the video. After taking pictures of this area, I noticed that it contains a lot of clutter in certain areas, so I should make sure that it is all cleaned before filming so it doesn’t present a hazard.
This hallway will be used twice in the video to transition between different scenes and locations. This location is used to bookmark the second chorus, appearing immediately before and after it. This location should also be decorated as much as possible in the video, and used as a chase section coming back.
Since this is a fast paced running smaller area, I should make sure to plan the staging out carefully and make sure that the actors always have a safe amount of space to work with.
This small room will be used for a short scene of the second chorus in the middle of the video. I hope that the small room will add a more claustrophobic feeling to this scene, before we return again to the more open areas. This scene will try to use some varied angles and more varied special effects, showing changes in the video and add to the strange and supernatural mood. Since this area contains electrical equipment which could cause damages, such as stoves and kettles, I need to make sure that they are turned off before filming begins, to prevent them from becoming a hazard.
