Out of these, I will be going forward with extract two as the one i will take forward and write the script for. I believe that this extract will be better at garnering interest, as it involves all of the characters and establishes the premise of the show well, rather than being in the middle of the show and having little to do with the plot of the show earlier on, which may leave new viewers confused. This extract also alines closer to the client brief, as it is only one scene rather than the plot of an entire episode, which could not fit into a ten minute slot which we have been allotted. This extract will also appeal more to the younger target audience, as it is more focused on intriguing action and has a faster pace to the alternative slower character study, as well as being more easy to make interesting and fun to watch. Ultimately this scene also features a more complete narrative, showing an entire small mystery rather than one small part from the middle of a larger and more confusing story.
