P2- Cross Media Plans

 Evaluation of the brief.

The brief has instructed us to create an advertising campaign which covers at least three media sectors which will be used to advertise my pitched drama series "afoot" including an interactive app, which must all be created on a budget of £15,000. The purpose of this campaign is to allow the show to enter the market and build an audience for the show before it releases, as well as letting more people of a younger demographic know about the channel BBC3. Since the show being advertised is a detective show, the target audience may enjoy puzzles or mysteries, meaning that they might be interested in more modern types of storytelling such as ARGs or guerrilla marketing which gives them a puzzle to solve.  The target audience that we have been given are between 15 and 21 and be of a middle or higher class so that they can afford to either license or stream BBC3 , meaning that the media sectors which I choose should be more modern sectors that these demographics would be familiar with such as television and the internet, as well as physical ones which they are likely to see often such as posters or pictures on the sides of buses.   In order to make sure that the campaign is cross-media, I will focus on creating advertising in the sectors of the app, print, radio and television. When creating an advising campaign I have to be aware of any ethical or legal issues that I may come across such as using anyones personal data or information in order to advertise to them specifically, or creating any advertising which could be seen as copying or plagiarising from any already created work.
